My Story
Hi, my name is Liára, and I'm the founder of Liára’s Royal Tea Room & Events. The idea of starting a tea business came to me whenever I visited my family in the U.K. and sat down and drank tea around the kitchen or dining table. Tea plays a huge part not only in my family's life but also in the English culture. There is something about sitting down with loved ones and friends, putting on the kettle, and having engaging conversations that always seems to bring people together, and generates fond, lasting memories.
I have always admired the Royal lifestyle, especially after hearing stories of my grandmother's experience working as a caterer for the former 10 Downing Street. My favorite story was when my grandmother and a selected few caterers received an invitation from Queen Elizabeth II to attend her Garden Party at Buckingham Palace. My grandmother recalled how the event was so lovely and how she also had the opportunity to see the Queen, Princess Diana, and Princess Royal.
My love for gardens and classic books came from my visits to London's Key Gardens and bookstores in London or on the high street when I lived in Cambridgeshire.
My mission is to bring my experiences from the United Kingdom to my tearoom. I believe everyone is exceptional and deserves an opportunity to feel like royalty for a day.
